Montemarcello is an hamlet of the Municipality of Ameglia, in the Magra Valley, in La Spezia province. Since 19 th April 2006 it is listed as one of the most beautiful Italian hamlets. Its territory is part of the Natural Regional Park of Montemarcello-Magra founded in 1985.

Embraced in the homonymous natural park, the tourist can visit the the botanic garden, situated a few steps from the village, on the top of the Monte Murlo. Here the typical local flora and fauna can be admire strolling along the footpaths in the woods , enjoying wonderful views on the Magra Valley and on the Alpi Apuane.
